My first time working with children was volunteer work at the age 13. I was mentoring 1st graders at an alternative school, where children went for behavioral concerns. with school work and basic school activities. I would sit in class with them and we would work on anything they needed at the time. I would be monitor and assist with behavior issues.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love working in the garden with the children I live with. I love cooking with them. I love playing pretend cooking shows with them where they make pretend food. I love painting and drawing with them. I love singing with them and playing my guitar for them! We also love taking walks and being out in nature.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To make sure the children grow up with someone around them who they can trust. I want to be a positive influence around the children I tend to. I want them to learn the right things and i want to learn from children as much as i can because they have a lot to teach us!
