More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as an ECE teacher in a daycare caring for children from as young as 1 month old all the way until they moved on to kindergarten. That experience taught me how to support children through every stage of early development while creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment. I currently work in a pediatric urgent care, which has given me even more hands-on experience and knowledge when it comes to caring for children, staying calm under pressure, and supporting families. I also still babysit for several families from my daycare years and have known some of the children since they were around 4 months old — now many of them are 5–6 years old! Building long-term bonds with both the children and their families has been one of the most rewarding parts of working with kids. I’m very outgoing, patient, dependable, and truly love creating a supportive and caring environment for every child I work with! 🫶🏼

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love creating fun, engaging, and development-focused activities for children of all ages! Some activities I enjoy include sensory play, arts & crafts, outdoor walks while talking about our surroundings, scavenger hunts, music and singing, story time, imaginative play, and emotionally supportive games that help children express feelings and build confidence. I also love taking kids to parks, doing hands-on learning activities, building with blocks, coloring, puzzles, and reading as many books as they’d like. I always try to make everyday activities both fun and educational while creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment for each child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny to me is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and feel comfortable being themselves. I love helping children reach important developmental milestones through play, learning, creativity, and everyday experiences while also building strong, trusting relationships with their families. With my background working in childcare education and pediatric healthcare, I understand how important child safety, emotional support, patience, and communication are. Being able to support families and become a positive, dependable part of a child’s life is something that truly makes me happy.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with a wide range of special needs through both daycare and pediatric urgent care settings. While every child is different and some situations can be challenging at first, I always take the time to learn each child’s individual needs, routines, and comfort levels so I can provide the best support possible. I’ve worked closely with families to create safe, supportive, and engaging environments, and I’m always happy to help find additional resources, activities, and strategies that may benefit both the child and their family. My goal is always to make children feel understood, comfortable, and cared for.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was during Teacher Appreciation Week when one of the moms I babysit for surprised me with a huge framed collage filled with photos of her daughter and I from my time as her very first daycare teacher. At the daycare, we would send families updates and pictures throughout the day through a private family app, so over the years there were so many sweet little memories captured. Her daughter is turning 5 this year, and seeing all those moments together in one frame honestly made me emotional.

What made it even more special was hearing her mom tell me that she considers me her daughter’s “second mom” and says we’ve basically raised her together. She’s a single mom, so the bond we built over the years means so much to both of us. I still babysit for them now, and getting to watch a child grow from infancy into such a funny, smart little girl is the most rewarding feeling ever. 🥹🩵
