Hi, I'm Vanessa, I'm 24 years old. I’m from Colombia, I studied modern languages, with this I had the opportunity to learn Portuguese, Italian and English. I had the opportunity to grow as a person and reinforced values such as responsibility and discipline. Related with my family, I have two younger brothers, they make my life amazing because you have friends for life. I remember a lot when we were kids, we did many things and activities, we played in the park for hours! We loved visiting our grandparents every december and we had a wonderful christmas. Having younger brothers means having responsibility from a young age because you always want to take care of them. My mom is amazing, too. She taught me about life, love, responsability, to be brave and face life as a powerful woman. She taught me how to cook, how to wash and fold clothes, how to take care of the house and take care of my younger brothers.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I had to provide support to a teacher with motor activities for the children, these activities were awakening the development and curiosity of them, for example: I learned that with songs, children work on memory, so this simple activity gives them benefits and opportunities for cognitive development. On the other hand, I helped the children change and put them on so that when their parents arrived they would be nice and clean. Moreover, I focused my time in teached them somethings like brushing their teeth, regulating their emotions and I tried that they discovered some hobbies. In the same way, they teached me to have patient, understand their needs, develpment my creativity, set limits, organize my time, and enjoy the life. In all of these processes, I had the opportunity to create activities have focused on working on a need they have or on things that may help them in the future, such as learning to eat on their own, developing motor skills or discovering their purpose in life.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Regarding my hobbies, I really like going for a walk because I think it relaxes me and oxygenates my body, also one of my favorite activities is riding a bike with the kids, it’s an activity that relaxes a lot. On the other hand, I love reading a good book in a quiet place, I like to learn and teach new things with the children that help us develop as a person. I am a creative person, so I really enjoy doing crafts and creating things, I like painting, drawing and writing because I think they are activities that inspire me and brighten my soul as a child. In addition, I am good at creating recipes and cooking delicious and new things.
