I love working w little ones! I have 5 children of my own. I know the importance in finding good quality people to be around your own children & I strive to provide that for working families. To be reassured that your child is in good hands is such a relief. Being able to work with peace of mind is a great plus 🙂
Babies are so fun to teach and watch grow. My goal as a nanny is to help parents provide the best quality care in accordance to their standards and love for their child/ children. I’m a firm believer in respecting the families wishes when it comes to help raise their children. Always allowing room for giving advice when asked or needed and taking into consideration the parents wants for the little ones. I believe parents have the major / first role. I will communicate with parents to see what works best when it comes to their kids. My main focus is always on the children. Minor household duties such as bottle washing and prepping, baby food prep, cleaning up after the baby.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Daycare experience working with children 6 weeks to 6 years old for 10+ years.

Nannied for families in 2 year segments. Usually until daycare spots open up. Typically
5 weeks -1.5 years old.
Nannied for a baby 4weeks- 3 years. Now on and off as needed for babysitting days as well.

I have 5 children of my own. All are in school full time.

My days can be somewhat flexible and prices are somewhat flexible , depending on requests.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Taking them out to enjoy the weather. Singing nursery songs that help w cognitive skills. Age appropriate craft projects. Reading books.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I would say the most important part of being a nanny is being able to have the freedom to implement my nanny style. This is in regards to teaching and teaching through play, having the resources available to do so. Having art supplies on hand and books ,or a budget from parents to get the supplies or go to the library as needed. Being able to go outside and enjoy fun times with the children. This helps them learn and explore their world. Micromanaging is a big set back for me as a nanny. I like to be able to create a comfortable learning and growing space for your little ones. Establishing trust with parents is key! For parents to trust that I have the experience to know when to communicate to them. Clear communication and understanding and respectable conversation is one of the key ways to help both sides. I value requests and ideas from parents. It is important to me to be able to come to parents when needed as well for any questions or help needed with your kids.
