Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I’m very intentional about limiting screen time and focusing on building developmental skills. I absolutely love art and seeing little ones minds turn. I prioritize hands-on activities like crafts, keepsakes, and interactive play. If the family is comfortable, I also have reliable transportation and can take children to parks or other fun outings if they aren’t within walking distance.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is being intentional about your time spent with your little ones. This isn't just a job, this is someones family and I think that needs to be at the forefront of every nanny's mind. Every moment spent with a child is an opportunity to show them true kindness and care. So as a nanny your goal should be to foster an environment where children feel loved, supported, and encouraged to thrive. I take that responsibility to heart and approach it with love, patience, and intention every day.
My experience with special needs children...
In high school, I worked with an early childhood education program where I gathered education on working with children with special needs. Since then I have worked with families with children on the spectrum and with hyperactivity.
