The reason I want this to be my next adventure is I want to support kids and families. Kids are learning every day and they deserve to have people around them that want to care for them, hear them, teach and learn from them, keeping them safe while they are ever growing.
My experience with special needs children...
I used to work with special needs adolescents years ago in an educational program through D60. Currently, I am a therapist for some kids learning to manage their behaviors and worries related to being on the spectrum. That's currently the extent of my connection with special needs kiddos but I'm open, curious and teachable.
