Activities I enjoy doing with children...
In the house I have done activities like singing, dancing, playing instruments, painting, drawing, coloring, doing arts and crafts, baking, playing games, swimming. We would also go on many outings like going to parks, going to museums, spending time outdoors, going on walks, going rollerskating, going ice skating, to trampoline parks, and many more.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Children are so open and impressionable, every moment matters, and all of your actions have a part in shaping who they will become in life. It is so important to me that when my kids are with me, irregardless of other outside influences, that they feel safe, celebrated, and loved, free of judgment. I want to celebrate them for all the beautiful things that make them who they are and actively help to shape them into thoughtful and kind humans. Childhood is the most joyful time in life and it brings me joy creating enriching experiences for my kids. Raising children takes a village, the more love and support a child receives the better. I have had to pleasure of touching the lives of so many children and intend on continuing that for as long as I am able.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with special needs ranging from ages 2-13 years old. I have been working as a behavioral technician since August 2024, prior to this I was a nanny for 3 years. I have gained extensive knowledge of ABA through my bachelors degree in psychology and work in ABA. Some of my duties included teaching life skills, furthering educational goals, building gross and fine motor skills, teaching self regulation techniques, teaching appropriate social interactions, developing speech and more. I am passionate and caring toward every child I work with and pour my heart and soul into building them up to the vest of my ability.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love to fill the environment with my kids with music, dancing, light, and laughter. One of my favorite moments was when my sweet 5 year old came to love ABBA alongside me and her all time favorite song was Mamma Mia, she would ask me to play it all the time! We had so many sweet moments singing and dancing together.
