A little bit about me

My name is Victoria I've been babysitting kids with a variety of needs since I was 11 years old. I am now 26 and love working with kids more than I ever have before I recently obtained my RBT certification. If you don't know what that means no worries I didn't up first either but this means I have been trained and working with kids specifically with autism however I have experience with many neurodevelopmental and physical disabilities. I am always up for a challenge and my rate is not 10 per kid that's just the only option they would give me I do it based on your needs and the child's needs if you financially can't pay $10 per child I'm not going to do that to you. I believe that I was given this gift of being able to work with children the way I can to help people not to make their situation harder financially emotionally or any of the other factors that money may play into that. I love being creative with the kids and interacting and planning different activities.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I've cared for most stages for children and adults with special needs such as Down syndrome autism seizures even something as simple as dyslexia and ADHD I have watched up to 12 kids at once on my own the first time I did this I was 16 years old I am now 26 and I've worked in and out of therapy clinic but I've figured out that what I actually want to do requires a little more schooling before I can do that. If you would like to hear from some of the families I've worked for before big small special needs I've seen it all I would be more than happy to get you in contact with them they love to talk to other families about the services that I provide that I didn't even realize we're Services I just thought it was common decency

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

This is probably my favorite parts I love finding out what the kids are interested in for instance we have been on many a spaceships that we made out of cardboard boxes and stars and moons and different planets that we created during Craft Time I love when they get to the stage where they have just such a big imagination and harnessing that allowing them to express themselves through that going outside taking them to the pool it's allowed taking them to other places like water parks the park and other Adventures that are approved by the parents is so much fun. Homework of course is important too I tried to find things that really motivate the kids to want to do their homework for instance hey we can do this craft once you're done or you can help me cook whatever they find motivating

My experience with special needs children...

I grew up with a cousin who has autism that sparked this interest in helping kiddos with special needs because I didn't know or treat my cousin any different like my other cousins did. I know that may seem weird but to me I didn't know that he was older than me so the behaviors he was engaging in weren't appropriate for his age. I met him on his level and once I saw that there was such a big need for so many children out there I began learning about all sorts of different disabilities I got myself certified it as an RBT I have worked with children and adults in the special needs community there have been a variety of learning disabilities as well as neurodevelopmental disabilities even emotional challenges that I have worked with and helped with this is probably what I am the most passionate about I have the patience to take as long as needed to work through the issue and come to their level to find what is needed
