More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My first job ever was when I was 12 years old as a babysitter of two boys (ages 3 months old & 3 years old). I spent every other weekend at their house babysitting & in the summers it was pretty much full time. I had this job for years even throughout high school until the family relocated in 2015. Which then my senior year of high school in 2016 I moved on to working at a daycare part time as a floater. My love for working with children grew even more so I decided to go full time when graduating high school because it was something I was very passionate about & wanted to do as a career in my future. I worked in the daycare for two & a half years. I was the preschool assistant teacher along with being the lead preschool summer program teacher & spent some time as a two year old assistant teacher. I have babysat over the years on the side for lots of families from the daycare alone with many of my friend's & family's children also. Even before working at the daycare I babysat a lot.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Love doing crafts, playing games & fun activities with kids along with music & dancing (just being silly and having a fun time together every once in while). I'm always open to doing active activities like playing games/sports with them. If it's nice outside I always make sure to spend a good amount of time outside, going on a good walk everyday is important to me & I love to involve any children that are in my care and get them outside as much as possible. Education always come first because it teaches them good responsibility for their future selves. I'm always willing to help with any school work that needs to be done when the children are in my care. I'm really strong about very limited screen time, preferably none at all when they are in my care.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I find so much joy in building that bond/trust with a child & educating them to help them grow. Being a positive part of their life along with teaching them how to develop healthy habits in all aspects of their lives is so important to me. Support and coach them through challenging emotions. I want to be a reaching hand for them whenever they need help. Help them build self confidence and help them want to learn new things & to always be kind. If they're older, help them with their ability to problem solve.

My experience with special needs children...

I've cared for children with behavioral problems, autism & sleep disorders. Have also cared for children with food allergies & sick/ill children many times too.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Whenever the kid's make me smile or laugh or vise versa. That can turn my whole day around & always brightens it even more. It makes me really stop in the moment & realize why I do what I do & why I love it. It's such a rewarding job.
