Hello! My name is Victoria, i’m 22 years old and children have been my passion and my career for as long as i can remember! I started out as the neighborhood babysitter which progressed into working at a Christian based daycare when i moved to Florida for about two years, my experience there also led me to volunteer work with FSDB. (Florida school for death and blind) After that i had a brief pause in childhood care moving back to Michigan, but have Nannied consistently since, I would love to get back into my field of passion having something consistent and making key relationships with the littles!

I love an active learning approach by doctor Lilly Neilsen! She has an amazing curriculum in a way of thinking about children’s life and their longevity for independence starting at a young age. Activities on the other hand can be included but not limited to crafts in home, outside enrichment, physical activities, i love giving kids a taste of developmentally, appropriate size of independence, whether that mean a task at a grocery store or something as simple as picking up something on their own, If they can feel included where adults thrive i feel accomplished.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked at Penrickton as well as Volunteering for them before my employment, I had the privilege of working with children with multi disabilities one including visual impairments, most of my children have Cerebral Palsy with some varying sensory development disorders or being on the spectrum. As an addition to work i have a personal passion for helping people with visual impairments because my paternal side of my family have them and it’s been a blessing learning how independent and resilient these people are.
