"Victoria is a gentle person who is kind, hard-working, reliable, and intelligent. She watched our infant daughter (Eva) when she was 3-7 months old, and provided exceptional care for 40+ hours a week. She went above and beyond with interacting with Eva to help her develop mentally and physically by reading, playing, going on walks, and giving her loads of love. She encouraged Eva as she learned new things each week, always kept an open line of communication, and earnestly enjoyed spending time with our little one. Victoria takes initiative while on the clock, performing tasks around the house without having to be asked (ex. cleaning the coffee pot each day). It was the small things that made a huge difference. She became part of our family and our only complaint is that she didn't move to New Orleans with us. "

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have 10 years of experience teaching dance techniques to children ages 3-18. For about 5 years, teaching dance was my full-time job. As a dance instructor I learned how to communicate effectively with children, and create a learning environment that fostered creativity and individuality, while also enforcing discipline and focus. (I also have had three previous nanny positions with three very different families, all of which were wonderful experiences!)
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing with kids outdoors and getting messy with arts and crafts!
The most important part about being a nanny...
is being consistent in all areas of care from executing a reliable daily routine to always adhering to any rules you want to enforce. A child can easily become confused and overwhelmed by unpredictability in their lives. Consistency instills in children confidence, discipline, focus, and presence of mind.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was a nanny for a sweet couple for close to all of the first 7 months of their baby's life. (They recently relocated for work.) They texted me the other day saying, "Eva won't accept any other babysitters (crying emojis). She's like, 'umm, guys this is not Towa.'" (Towa is their nickname for me.) Is it selfish of me to get a kick out of that?
