A little bit about me

Hi! My name is Victoria, and I have a decade of experience working with children of all ages as both a nanny and as an educator. I have taken college courses in early childhood development, as well as the DCF 40 Hours. When not working with children, I am a freelance performer and stage manager around Central Florida, and I love going to see performing arts shows. My partner works for Disney, and we often hang out in the parks together or with our friends. We have three fur babies, two cats and one dog, and love snuggling up on the couch with them to watch a comfort show, play games on the Switch, or read a good book. I’m a born and raised Floridian, and love being in or on the water whenever I can.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have served as both a full time and part time nanny for multiple families, for up to four children at once, predominately for infants through early elementary aged children. I taught for three years as a Lead Teacher in a preschool classroom, and currently serve as the Music and Movement Specialist for a child development center. I worked for many years in the Children’s Ministry of a large local church, teaching and caring for children through group childcare, Sunday School classes, after-school programs, and summer camps.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy providing a wide variety of developmentally appropriate activities for children including but not limited to reading, arts and crafts, music and movement, sensory exploration, imaginative/dramatic play, fine/gross motor skill exercises, and active outdoor games. I’m also comfortable and confident taking children on outings to the park, library, splash pad, indoor play place, children’s museum, etc.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is ensuring that each child entrusted to me is given the best possible care (physically, mentally, and emotionally), feels seen and heard no matter how old they are, and knows that they are loved every single day.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with children with special needs as both a nanny and an educator, including ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum, Down Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, and various communication/learning delays.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Has been watching the children I’ve been caring for or teaching since they were babies grow up, and knowing that I played a small part in helping them become the amazing tiny humans they are today.
