My favorite part of working with kids is watching their skills develop, and as a creative person, I love engaging with them through arts and crafts, music, and reading! In my experience as a daycare teacher, I have created age-specific art projects to aid appropriate developmental skills in children of each age group. My projects teach them concepts such as seasons, colors, and the alphabet while simultaneously aiding in their developmental phases, such as fine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and creative emotional expression. I also incorporate my love of reading and music into my care, introducing children to new books and music to expand their vocabulary, begin to understand concepts such as numbers and the alphabet, and develop socioemotional skills.
