A little bit about me

I am a retired Registered Behavioral Technician looking to return to nannying. Prior to being an RBT, I was a nanny for over 20 yrs caring for children ranging from infant to teenager and their families. I have many educational, fun books and toys to share as well as a creative mind. I am not a fan of screen time unless we’re looking up something interesting. The children I care for are my priority. As part of that, I will support cleaning up after activities as well as organizing bedrooms. I am open to helping with other duties as long as they do not take me away from the children. I look forward to meeting my next family.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy reading, cooking, coloring and doing art projects with my children. I find it beneficial to model stress and frustration relieving techniques such as counting, breathing and using ‘our words’.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is providing consistent care as defined by the parents. I do have years of experience caring for families but every family is different. It is important to communicate with the parents and follow their lead providing care specific to their family.

My experience with special needs children...

I recently retired from a position as a Registered Behavioral Technician providing ABA service in home as well as in a daycare setting. My last kiddo was 3 and had a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and autism. I assisted him in learning to walk with a walker and feed himself as well as providing ABA services.
