Hello my name is Willie Mae McCann, I'm 58 years old and I'm a retired mother of 5, grandmother of 17 and great grandmother of 2. I love them all sometimes have everyone of them in my house. But it's one special grand my 2year old she tags a long with me all the time. My son brings her to stay with me a couple of months because she want to stay with grandma he says. I just took her back home last week. I love being around kids helping them to learn when they starts school late. Love to whipe their tears when their sad. Love to feed them when they are hungry. Love to see them play enjoying life. I'm so use of keeping my grands and great grands, That's when I decided to be a full time nanny or sitter. o my name is Willie Mae McCann, I don't work because of 5 surgeries on my right ankle so it will be hard to stand in one spot for hours a long period of time. So I've been looking for work that I can move around and sit. I seen this work opportunity and I'm very interested because this is all what I have been doing all my years is babysitting my grands and great grands. It's one grand that attach to me her name is Nova I sometimes have her for one or two months at the time. She live in Charlotte NC. Her parents my son and her mom brings her to me sometimes to stay. So sometimes time you will see her with me she 2 years old. But I will be a great candidate for the job. I like to cook and clean too.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

As a nanny sitter I will treat them like they are my grands and great grands because I love them.
So I would do everything possible by helping the parents in every way of doing:
Safety and Supervision work, Keeping the children safe and monitor them closely during indoor and outdoor activities. I will prepare meals and feeding, and also prepare healthy, kids friendly meals, like snacks, and bottles, and clean up afterward. Do my daily routines managing their nap times, sleep schedules, bathing, and getting them prepare for activities and learning, plan engaging, playing age appropriate games, crafts, and outings, and help with homework.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Is by building a safe lovable bonding being with the children's. Giving them a good impression that they are safe with you. Keeping them calmly where they want feel afraid around you that they will feel safe. Show and help the children's grow with patience and gentle guidance. I will be able to be honest with updates on the children's daily activities.

My experience with special needs children...

I have a autistic son he are now 39 years old now. But he were diagnose with autistic at age 4 years old. It was a challenge a lot of strain on me. But I dealt with it. He had his ups and downs but I made a way where I could keep him happy instead of following apart being angry. I helped him to control his mood swings. I kept him from being angry at other kids, to control himself. He take medicine now but before the medicine started it was really hard. I had to find a way where he could be calmed at any possible place or around anyone.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moments are when I'm reading to the kids and watching them run and enjoy their self playing. And watching them eat.When they eat I see smiles and laughter. And I love to see them show me how to dance.
