Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I haven’t any childcare experience in the work field. However, I have two younger sisters and have cared for them plenty of times. I also had experience taking care of my special needs stepbrother.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love doing puzzles or reading books. Playing with kids and doing learning exercises is very important. I enjoy reading the most because it helps with vocabulary and gives room for the imagination. Playing outside is something I also enjoy with children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny for me would be having a connection and communication. It’s very important to get along with the children you will be caring for. Communication helps the child have a healthy relationship with their parents and nanny. Talking to them, listening to them, and understanding them helps them to grow and develop healthy patterns as they age in life. How you treat a child will leave a permanent mark on their brain chemistry.

My experience with special needs children...

Based on my experience in taking care of my special needs stepbrother, it can be tough at times not knowing what exactly they need. But, doing exercises with them and finding the best form of communication for them is helpful. My stepbrother has a tablet where he has learned many phrases and words. That is the best communication for him. Overall it is a fun experience. He is very funny and wholesome.
