I think the most important part about being a care taker of any kind would be being a positive influence in families lives. Being there to listen and create fun and joy for the few hours that im there is very important to me, along with being able to give hard working parents a much needed and deserved break

My experience with special needs children...

My cousin has down syndrome and my experience caring for her is whenever she spends the night at my home. She loves trying my food and keeping me company in the kitchen. We dance and laugh and overall have a great time. She can be challenging but nothing I've never been able to manage. Every child is different but I am very adaptive and ready for any challenges that may arise.
