More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I used to be a substitute teacher. I nanny my little sisters every Friday for my parents while they work at the temple. I was a volunteer to build a preschool in Paraguay and there we interacted with the children often and even had the opportunity to teach them some English.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love art and painting and usually have some sort of craft or activity planned every time I babysit. I also love movies and movie nights.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny would to show as much kindness and love you can for the children. It’s always hard when mom leaves and meeting a new nanny so I try to make it a fun time and really make sure the children feel comfortable and safe.
My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have a ton of experience with special needs children. In high school I was a peer tutor to a couple kids ages 14-16 and I really enjoyed it.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Idaho Falls, ID: Hedvig K.
My name is Hedvig! I’m a 28-year-old mixed media artist raised on a farm in Northern Sweden. I’ve been nannying since my teenage years as well as worked as a care giver for teens and adults with autism for much of my 20’s.
As the youngest of nine children, I’ve often been left to take care of my many nieces and nephews and have nannied for family’s as well.
Come the fall of 2025, I will be starting part-time classes to become a kindergarten teacher and would love to keep nannying as my focus to better understand and care for children. In addition to being an artist, I am a lover of the outdoors. Ranging from snowboarding, fishing and foraging for berries, nature is my happy place. I strongly believe that our connection to the Earth plays a large role in appreciating everything we interact with; animals, people and plants. I would love to connect if you feel this would be a good fit for you and your children! 🧡

My teaching style is play-based, nature-based, and child-led. I like to focus on teaching self-regulation and problem-solving techniques and using positive guidance and redirection techniques to reinforce these skills. In all ways, I want to encourage autonomy and consistent expectations. I love to sing and find it very important in Early Childhood Development.
Much of my experience comes from my time at The Robin's Nest. A small center, nature-based, eco-friendly, and Waldorf inspired center. I served in a variety of roles in my time at The Robin's Nest: Assistant Director,
Director, Head Teacher, and Lead Teacher. I trained staff and ensured developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum were available for each classroom. I worked one-on-one with our other lead teachers to develop a rhythm in their classroom, develop classroom management skills, and work with children who had developmental disabilities or needed other accommodations.
I am happy to answer any questions!
