The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny, to me, is creating a safe and trusting environment where children feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and emotions. I strive to make every child feel heard, supported, and confident in expressing themselves, while also helping them build resilience and strength. I love incorporating educational activities and learning about different cultures, so children can explore, grow, and develop a love for learning in a nurturing and inclusive space.
My experience with special needs children...
I have hands-on experience working as a teacher’s assistant during my Early Childhood Education practicum in a special needs classroom, where I gained valuable skills in supporting children with diverse learning and developmental needs. I assisted with creating individualized learning activities, provided one-on-one support, helped manage classroom routines, and ensured a safe and nurturing environment. This experience strengthened my patience, adaptability, and ability to connect with children of all abilities, while fostering their growth, confidence, and independence.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the most valuable moments I’ve had as a caregiver was with a child who was just beginning to learn English. At first, they were shy and hesitant to communicate, but over time, they started to trust me and enjoy spending time together. We would read books, play games, and practice simple words and phrases, and I watched as their confidence and language skills grew. It was incredibly rewarding to see them open up, laugh, and feel proud of their progress, knowing that I played a part in helping them learn and feel comfortable in a new language.
