More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a camp counselor for two summers. For three+ years I was a youth counselor in my churches AWANA program. In middle school, for about two years, I helped my aunt homeschool her young boys and my little sister. I have been actively, for the past few months, nannying a two year old boy and eleven year old sister, taking them for walks, to eat, different activities, and picking up the girl from school.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy keeping the little ones entertained, rather than on screens because those were the best memories I have from my childhood. I like drawing, playing games- indoor and outdoor, swimming, doing projects like arts and crafts, etc with the kids.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I think your childhood is such a major part of forming your identity and personality for the rest of your life, as I know mine is. So I would love to do what I can to share the beauty in all the simple things to imprint warm memories for these young minds.

My experience with special needs children...

One of my cousins I was helping homeschool, has ADHD and slight autism. I was really good at helping him process the irrational emotions he would feel and focus on his school every day. One of my other very young cousins has down syndrome and when I would babysit him, I had good communication through sign language and extensive patience to work through everything with him.
