A little bit about me

My name is Zoey Waxman and I am a senior at The University of Arizona majoring in physiology and medical sciences. I grew up being the oldest of 4 siblings. I was always around them to play with and help take care of. When I turned 15, I began babysitting for multiple families. Some were friends and some were families I met in my neighborhood. I have experience watching kids from 8 months old up to 12 years old, but I have the most experience with toddlers around the age of 3-4. One of the kids that I used to babysit had autism and this experience taught me the importance of communication and how different kids have different forms of communication. I was a gymnastics coach for a couple years as well for kids 3-11 years old. This job taught me a lot about patience and encouragement when it comes to helping other peoples' children. Growing up I had been around younger kids from an early age and I genuinely love being around them and helping to take care of them.
