I am a mother to a beautiful 1 year old batgirl. Parenting so far has been wonderful but before parenting I have been an auntie for 7 years and an older sibling/cousin for 22 years. I am not CPR or Childcare certified but best believe I know what to do when the time comes. I can care for children of all ages. I am skilled in teaching manners, potty training (if needed), practice speaking articulately, proper grammar, pronunciations, reading, writing, alphabet, numbers, tutoring of all sorts. I take pride in spending time with children they’re so pure and overall the best conversationalists lol.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love nature so playing outside and taking walks is no problem. I love playing educational games. I love board games and puzzles as well. I enjoy listening to music, doing yoga or other exercise activities, and I like sports. I like to read and write. I like to do arts and crafts. I also like baking and decorating.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is growing a connection with the children. I am not just looking for a job. I need the family to trust me as well. I want the children to actually like me and not be bored when hearing I am on my way to “spend some time”. I also don’t like referring to myself as a babysitter or nanny because I am not just “watching children”. I am creating a relationship with them as well.
My experience with special needs children...
My younger cousin has cerebral palsy and I have been helping my grandmother with him for a couple years now. He has grown to be so strong and healthy. He is very intelligent with great speech.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have been with this family for about 5 years on and off. During the pandemic I watched these kids struggle with schoolwork I began tutoring them and even seen improvement. A couple weeks went by and they were back on track and one was even excelling. It made me proud to be able to assist their parents in such a way it was a lot of work tutoring two-different aged children and babysitting a toddler at the same time but I got it done. I was grateful to be able to do that for the parents. I was so proud when their parents sent me pictures from the elementary graduations.
