Live-In Full-Time Nanny Job: The Tonkin Family with 4 Children
We are a blended family with 5 kids ranging from 5-22. Our oldest is gong out of the country, and we need help for the youger ones, ages, 5, 6, 12 & 14. Dad works from home and mom is attdending college full time, so need a mom replacment to help dad with mornings and into the afternoon for summer. Kids have camps and schools, so a little child watching, but organizing, getting places, keeping house clean, and pantry full. In August the job will be the same but switch to evenings instead of mornings, so probably 12-8. Will consider live in. Will provide transportation for use for kids and house errands. We are a fun, crazy family so got to be up with some energy to enjoy the journey in life.

We are a warm, busy family with three young children (girl age 2, boy age 4, and girl age 6) looking for a highly capable, nurturing, and reliable Nanny/Housekeeper who can confidently manage both childcare and home operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, loves kids, stays organized, and brings calm leadership when life gets loud.
About the Role
This is a hybrid role balancing childcare, household organization, housekeeping, meal preparation for child meals, and occasional overnight care when mom and dad need a vacation. Our children are loving, energetic, and active — they need someone fun and nurturing who also earns their respect and can maintain structure.
While the kids are at school (all attend full-time, one in Elementary and two in pre-school), you’ll manage home responsibilities: laundry, organization, tidying, meal prep, and general house management. Once the kids return home, the role shifts into hands-on childcare. Candidate would do child pick-ups as well.
Both parents travel or work at times, so reliability is essential. We need someone fully capable of running the home and caring for the kids solo during short trips when mom and dad would like to get away.
About The Children
Sydney, 2 year old girl - fully potty trained. Takes one nap a day for 2-2.5 hours and sleeps 7:30pm-7am. Not able to swim.
Landon, 4 year old boy - fully potty trained, does not take a nap and sleeps 7:30/8pm-7am. Fully able to swim.
Savannah, 6 year old girl - fully potty trained, does not take a nap and sleeps 7:30/8pm-6/6:30am. Fully able to swim.
Two miniature Labradoodles’s, ages 12 and 9.
We have a pool and a hot tub, so must be able to swim and want to swim with the children at times for fun!
Able to use the family vehicle for child pick ups and drop offs.

We are due with our first daughter April 1st, 2024. I have an 18 week maternity leave, so I need someone to start helping us out part-time beginning in August/September 2024. I work from home and travel for my job on average 5 days per month, sometimes more or less depending on the month. I often travel on weekends but it varies. We got married earlier this year and moved here a few months ago from Kansas for my husband’s job. He is a resident doctor at Banner University with a grueling schedule. Every other month he has weekends off and works a 9-5 schedule. The other months he works 12 hour shifts, 6 days per week. I’m looking to hire someone around 25-30 hours per week, depending on our schedules for the month. I would need help on Mondays and Tuesdays, 7am to 1-2pm and then one or two other days pending the week. I will also need our nanny to be there for longer stints and days in a row when I am traveling and he’s on a 12 hour scheduled month. This would be a job with a set number of hours per week, the days would just vary depending on the month. I know my travel schedule months in advance to ensure proper planning. We have a 5 year old mini Aussie, so being comfortable around pets is a requirement. We also would require a drivers license, clean criminal record and being infant CPR + First Aid certified. Light housekeeping and meal prep is a bonus but not required.
