Babysitter Job: The McLaurin Family with 1 Child
Good day!
I am an active-duty military member looking for a reliable, part-time nanny for my 4-year-old son.
I will need care on an alternating, bi-weekly basis. This means care is needed every other week, Monday through Friday.
My son attends Pre-K in Virginia Beach. The daily schedule for my custody weeks will look like this:
• Morning: Arrive at the house at a mutually agreed time and drop him off at Pre-K at 08:50 AM.
• Mid-Day to Afternoon: Pick him up from Pre-K at 12:00 PM and care for him at my home until I arrive home at 4:00 PM.
Job Details & Requirements:
• Hourly Rate: $18 - $20 per hour
• Meal Preparation: Prepare a simple lunch after school pickup
• Light Housekeeping: Wash school lunch dishes and at-home lunch dishes
• Certifications: Must be CPR and First Aid certified
• Screening: Background check, drug screening, and a DMV record check are required due to the driving requirement
• References: Please provide 2 to 3 professional childcare references
• Pets: No pets

My son’s name is Toby and he’s pretty relaxed and easy to please. Temper tantrums are usually short and easy to distract him away from and he’s always paying attention even when it doesn’t look like it. I do have a super friendly Australian shepherd named Gizmo. He’s sweet and just wants attention but won’t bother you unless it’s for pets or treats. I don’t need him looked after too just Toby though.
