I am looking for care for my 6-week-old infant. I would like someone who is patient, nurturing, and willing to help follow an age-appropriate daily schedule. My baby is breastfed, so experience caring for breastfed infants is preferred. During wake windows, I would like the caregiver to engage in healthy developmental activities such as tummy time, reading, talking, singing, and other age-appropriate interactions.
My baby's ideal day follows a consistent routine of eating, sleeping, and engaging in age-appropriate activities during wake windows. I would like the caregiver to support healthy sleep habits, feedings, diaper changes, and developmental activities that encourage growth and bonding. Maintaining a predictable schedule is important.

Part-Time Nanny Job: The Amiri Family with 1 Child
Hello! I am currently looking for a warm, bubbly, and loving childcare professional to help care for our one year old during the week while I work from our home in Chicago, IL. The position would be M-Th from 9 AM - 4 PM, with potential for more hours if the fit is right. Responsibilities would include keeping our child safe and entertained with age-appropriate activities, feedings, naps, diaper changes, cleaning up after baby (nursery, bottles, dishes, laundry, etc.). Must be comfortable with animals as we have three large, very friendly dogs. Ideally our person would help with short potty breaks for the pups towards the end of their shift as well. Expectations would be professionalism, transparency, up to date on vaccinations, CPR certified, clean background report, experience with infants/toddlers, English as a first language, and we would also want this person to stick around long-term. The quick details: Flexible days and times. Needed 5 hours per day, 3 days per week. We have a 2 month old that is very sweet and not a difficult baby. 1 parent works from home so can assist and the other works from home 3 days per week.
The long details: The Ideal Nanny would be someone that become close with us and our child as she grows. We're not looking for a "sitter" we're looking for a long term nanny.
A typical day would be something like: Start around 9-10 am, she usually likes to go for a morning walk so that would be first. We live next to a beautiful park, and the lakefront, as well as Maggie Daley park. Then afterwards she naps for 30 mins or so. She'd need to eat when she wakes up so it'll be feeding her next. Then she usually likes to play or be read to. After that there is sort of a wildcard as sometimes she's tired, or hungry, or still wants to play more. We're open to your thoughts on activities. Another walk is always fun for her.
That's pretty much a full day, leave around 3:00. We're flexible on hours and pay. We are excited to find someone to work with.
