Engaging Sitter for 12yo - Occasional to Part-Time
About the Role:
I am looking for an occasional babysitter for my 12-year-old daughter. While she is 12, her maturity level and developmental stage are more in line with a younger child (high-functioning FAS). She is very sweet and requires consistent supervision and an active "play-partner."
We need someone who will be actively engaged—playing board games, cards, or heading outside to play in the yard. There will also be plenty of downtime where she is happy to watch TV, providing a nice balance of activity and relaxation.
Immediate Schedule Needed:
Trial Run: This Sunday, April 19 (Early afternoon, ~2 hours)
First Full Assignment: Friday, April 24 (4:00 PM – 11:00 PM)
Future Potential: For the right fit, we hope to transition this into a recurring schedule of 3-5 days per week.
Responsibilities:
Active supervision and companionship.
Participating in indoor games, crafts, and outdoor play.
Supervising TV/relaxation time.
Preparing a simple snack or light meal.
The Ideal Candidate:
Patient, energetic, and genuinely enjoys interacting with kids. Experience with developmental delays or a younger maturity level is a huge plus, but a playful attitude is the top priority!
Requirements:
Reliable transportation to the Buford area.
Non-smoker.
Comfortable with background and reference checks.

Not open to Nanny share, though we’d willing to explore the option with more information on it. Specifications would include: assisting in getting kids fed before school, watching the newborn (and 19month old twice a week) while I run errands, meetings, and gym. There during the day to assist with my newborn as I work from home. Light laundry (for kids) and other light housekeeping. Also would love for someone to assist in meal prep for dinner. Occasional pick up/drop off for 9 year old’s sports activities during the week. Has to have reliable transportation and driver’s license. Ideally would like someone who can speak Spanish to teach the kids, but not absolutely necessary.
