Babysitter Job: The McLaurin Family with 1 Child
Good day!
I am an active-duty military member looking for a reliable, part-time nanny for my 4-year-old son.
I will need care on an alternating, bi-weekly basis. This means care is needed every other week, Monday through Friday.
My son attends Pre-K in Virginia Beach. The daily schedule for my custody weeks will look like this:
• Morning: Arrive at the house at a mutually agreed time and drop him off at Pre-K at 08:50 AM.
• Mid-Day to Afternoon: Pick him up from Pre-K at 12:00 PM and care for him at my home until I arrive home at 4:00 PM.
Job Details & Requirements:
• Hourly Rate: $18 - $20 per hour
• Meal Preparation: Prepare a simple lunch after school pickup
• Light Housekeeping: Wash school lunch dishes and at-home lunch dishes
• Certifications: Must be CPR and First Aid certified
• Screening: Background check, drug screening, and a DMV record check are required due to the driving requirement
• References: Please provide 2 to 3 professional childcare references
• Pets: No pets

Our needs are help maintaining structure in the house, patience, light cooking/meal prep, some house keeping, child care, gymnastics drop offs, occasional daycare pick ups/ drop offs, and evening/weekend help. Hours may vary as Mom works in office for an operational military command.
Current work schedule is 7:30am- 4pm
Both children are enrolled in daycare and school full-time with Gymnastics on Thursdays at 8-9pm, Sunday 1pm. I definitely need weekend support for after hours. I am willing to give up some time at daycare if our nanny can work those hours.

Hi! We are looking for a nanny to join our family! We have a newborn, a 2 year year old and a 4 year old. The older two kids are in school fulltime. The majority of your days will be spent with the newborn. Most of the time if you just be you and the baby, however, our toddlers will be home in the evenings after I pick him up. We do have a dog, so you will have to be ok with dogs. I will be home in the evenings to help with bed and bath time, as that is the most hectic time here. Hours can increase to earlier in the morning if you wish, in Jan 2026 when I go back to work. Looking forward to connecting!!
