Part-Time Nanny Job: The Cannon Family with 1 Child
Looking for a warm, patient, reliable, and experienced part-time nanny to provide after-school care for our soon-to-be kindergartner in the Aspen Hill area.
Schedule:
- Mon, Tues, Wed, and Fri (No Thursdays)
- 3:30 PM–6:30 PM
- Consistent, ongoing position during school year
Responsibilities include:
- Meeting him at the bus and helping him transition into his afternoon
- Providing attentive, engaging childcare
- Preparing and serving a snack
- Following his established afternoon routine
- Spending time outside when weather permits, including playing/physical activity
- Supporting a calm, structured, and positive environment
- Potentially providing transportation to activities, if needed
Our son is on the autism spectrum, so we are looking for someone with experience working with neurodivergent children. Experience with elementary-school-aged children and familiarity with ABA therapy or other behavioral supports is a plus. The ideal person will be patient, nurturing, energetic, safety-conscious, and comfortable providing consistent structure while building a warm and trusting relationship with a child.
We are looking for someone who is dependable and interested in a consistent, ongoing arrangement rather than occasional babysitting.
Ideal candidate:
- Experience caring for elementary-school-aged children
- Experience working with children with autism or other neurodevelopmental differences
- Patient, warm, energetic, and reliable
- Comfortable following established routines and directions
- Safety-conscious and attentive
- Enjoys outdoor play and active time when weather permits

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Tefay Family with 2 Children
I am seeking a reliable nanny to care for my 2 year old toddler and 3 month old infant. The hours would be from 11am-7pm, Monday-Friday.
My kids do not attend any extra curricular activities. I would like to hire someone who is well versed in teaching my toddler (ABCs, colors and etc), read to my toddler and play with toddler.
My expectations are engaging activities with unstructured independent play. Responsibilities included are: reading books, singing and dancing to music, imaginative pretend play, and sensory bins.
As far as my 3 month old. I am exclusively breastfeeding. I work from home and will have a supply of breastmilk for you to bottle feed my infant until I’m off work (7am-3:30pm).
I would like you to focus on basic care, routine milestones, and age-appropriate sensory engagement. This includes managing feeds, diaper changes, and naps, as well as actively promoting physical and emotional development through tummy time and reading.

Right now, we are looking for part-time with the potential for full-time. We speak French, Spanish and English in our house (and are open to adding others).

I am looking for a part-time nanny for my almost 9-month-old son. We live about half a mile from downtown Silver Spring. Ideally we are looking for about 12-15 hours of care a week but could get by with a little less for now. We are hoping for half a day on Tuesday afternoons and a full day on Wednesdays to start, with the possibility for more hours later. We have some flexibility with the schedule right now, though really need main daytime hours on Wednesdays (i.e., from 9:30 am onward) if at all possible.
