Hello! We are a family in Pittsford looking for a warm, reliable, and experienced babysitter/nanny for our 3-year-old son.
We primarily need occasional weekday care, especially Friday afternoons/evenings each week, with the possibility of expanding to additional weekday hours. We would also love someone who is available for school holidays/closures, sick days, and occasional early school pickups, as well as occasional evenings and weekends.
Childcare responsibilities may include school pickup, engaging in play and activities, preparing and serving meals, helping with his bedtime routine, and keeping his belongings and play areas organized.
In addition to childcare, the position will include weekly household-manager responsibilities, such as grocery pickup, light organizing and tidying, unpacking groceries, keeping household and child-related items organized and stocked, and other occasional household errands.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of the position and helping with the day-to-day needs of our son and family. We hope to find a caring, dependable go-to caregiver who can build a genuine relationship with our family over time.
Our ideal candidate:
- 2+ years of professional childcare experience
- Several professional references
- Own reliable vehicle and clean driving record
- Warm, responsible, patient, and engaging with young children
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities

We love getting the kids outside to play so a car would be provided to go on adventures to the zoo, park, beach etc. I'm currently pregnant with our third child due in June and we're looking at options for care starting in January after both parents take parental leave. We are a Montessori/forest school type family where the kids learn by doing and exploring. They love making pizza and bread from scratch, helping with meal prep or scrambling eggs. They love to pick fruit and vegetables from the garden, get muddy and play outside in all weather. We hope to raise kind and caring kids and practice gentle parenting (not to be confused with permissive parenting) we are gentle but firm. We provide PTO and food while you're working. We have a large dog and a cat that the kids help to let out and feed. Lyra loves gymnastics, horseback riding, swimming and anything rainbow, pink, unicorn or mermaid themed. She also loves going on hikes and doing anything outside. Leo loves soccer, swimming and puppies and is currently obsessed with blaze and the monster machines. Leo also loves his fancy Nancy dress and his pink bunny.
