Part-Time Nanny Job: The Gibson Family with 1 Child
Hi there! My husband and I found a wonderful nanny for the summer. Now we’re seeking a nurturing, playful, reliable nanny to care for our goofy, active boy (currently 10 months old) at our home in Stony Brook starting August 26.
This would be a part-time position with 25 hours per week, ideally from 11 am to 4 pm every weekday.
Benefits include guaranteed hours, paid time off, holidays, and sick days.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, nurturing care
- Follow feeding and nap schedules
- Help with prepping baby’s bottles and meals
- Engage in age-appropriate developmental play and activities
- Take him on engaging outings (we can help with ideas)
- Assist with baby-related and other light housekeeping as time allows (washing bottles, cleaning up after baby’s meals, tidying play areas, washing and putting away baby’s laundry, emptying dishwasher)
Requirements:
- OK with working on the books
- Prior toddler care experience
- CPR and first aid certified
- Non-smoker
- Reliable transportation
- Driver’s license with clean record
- Strong references
- Comfortable with WFH parents (we both have separate offices with doors!)
Bonus:
- Available for occasional babysitting this summer to help our son get comfortable with you!
About us:
My husband and I are a couple of warm, quiet creatives. We work from home full time (I’m an editor/writer and he’s a graphic designer) and will be working during the nanny’s shifts.
Our son loves exploring new things, figuring out how stuff works, music, books, outdoor time, and trying his hardest to walk!
I hope to hear from you if you might be a fit! (Even if your available start date differs slightly from what we’re looking for, we may have flexibility for the right nanny)

Full-Time Nanny Job: The Rutigliano Family with 1 Child
Hi there,
We are looking for a full-time nanny (i.e., 40 hours/week) for our toddler. She is an easy kiddo, and a great napper, so we would love someone who is willing to do some light housework while she naps (usually twice a day, for an hour+ in the morning, and 2+ hours most afternoons). She loves being outside, trying to figure out how things work, and reading, and is developing her sense of humor. Her dad and I are both working from home, so we are hoping to find someone who can arrive a few minutes before 9am, and can stay until 5pm Monday-Friday.
