We’re looking for a nanny who can help us in the afternoons and evenings.
My daughter, Isabella Briceno, attends Washington International School and is entering Kindergarten. She’s a lovely, fun kid with a lot of personality—and a particular passion for Argentina!
We’re looking for someone fluent in both Spanish and English if possible. Isabella currently attends after-school, but we’d ideally like someone who could help in the afternoon, starting around 3–4pm (flexible) and staying until around 7pm, with some flexibility on the schedule.
Generally, we’d be looking for someone who can pick her up from school, spend time with her, and help keep things organized at home (but not cleaning/housekeeping). Ideally, we’d also love someone who is comfortable preparing a simple meal for Isabella when we aren’t available.

About us
-> Family of three in Arlington, VA, with a baby girl, currently 6 months old (will be ~8 months at start date)
-> Mom works from home full-time but is available if the baby needs anything; dad works nearby and can be home within 15 minutes if needed
-> Baby has been cared for by grandparents since birth, so this is our first outside hire
The role
-> Full-time, 40 hours/week, starting 21 Sep
-> Monday–Thursday 9 AM-5 PM; Friday is lighter, roughly 9 AM-4 PM
-> Sole charge of the baby during when mom may be unavailable during meetings and focused work
Responsibilities
-> Full infant care: diapering, bottles, naps, tummy time, developmental play
-> Only indoor activities; outings/walks only with mom/dad present
-> Solids preparation and feeding: the baby will be starting solids, so she will need to fed solids at least twice every day
-> Washing and sterilizing bottles and feeding gear
-> Baby's laundry, tidying play areas, keeping toys and surfaces clean
-> Tracking naps, feeds, and diapers, and communicating daily
Requirements
-> Infant/child CPR & first aid
-> Experience with babies under 12 months, specifically the solids transition and mobile-infant babyproofing
-> Verifiable references from at least one recent family
-> Willingness to complete a background check
-> Comfortable working with a parent in the home
-> Valid driving license
-> Vaccination record (preferred)

I have a loving, active 3 year old with another baby on the way. My 3 year old loves playing outside, exploring, and tactile activities like painting and play doh. I am looking mostly for help in the afternoons about 3 days a week and 1-2 evenings a month. Childcare is first priority, but I would also love help with picking up my son from school at 1pm and keeping up with his laundry (he gets everything so dirty!). With a second on the way, there is room for more hours starting in 2025.

You will handle cooking, homework, feeding, and diaper changes and ensure a safe environment for our two children including a 9 months old baby and a 4 year old. You would also need to do housekeeping and household tasks, as well as meal prep and laundry for the kids when you come in the afternoon or the weekend. The start date is October 5 but flexible. Our place is conveniently located 10 minutes away from bus stops and the metro. We’d love to hear from you! Pay is $25-$27 an hour.
