A little bit about us

My husband and I are expecting our first child, a daughter, at the end of January 2019. I work from home fulltime with occassional out of state travel and am planning to return to work the first week of May. My husband is a full time graduate student at Bradley. We have a low maintenance 10 year old Boston Terrier. My husband and I are an outdoorsy, laid back, light-hearted, and feminist couple. We're looking for a mother's helper or nanny to care for our daughter during my primary work hours (approximately 8a-4p Mon-Fri) either in our home or another's via a nanny share. My work hours are somewhat flexible day to day with room for negotiation for the right professional(s). Some days/weeks may require less hours than others though I will try to never ask for more of your time than we've previously agreed. Ideally, our in-home hire will be open to helping with light housework a few times a week (ex., dishes, vacuuming, picking up pre-ordered groceries, meal prep). We are open to splitting our daughter's care between two professionals with differing but complementary availability. This is potentially a great opportunity for a college student who's interested in being paid to study or do homework while our infant daughter is sleeping or for a mother with an infant or young child of her own that she needs to bring with her to our home some or all days. At least 2 references and a clear background check and driving record will be required. Preference will be given to professionals with 3+ years of experience and/or higher education in child psychology, early childhood development, or healthcare.
