A little bit about us

We are the Chambers family, a vibrant household of six based in Lexington, Massachusetts. Our family values faith, wellness, personal growth, and creating a nurturing, loving environment for our children. We have four amazing children: Jaylen (18), Brayden (10), Cayden (16), and Haylen (4). Two of our boys, Jaylen and Brayden, are on the autism spectrum, and we are committed to providing them with the best care, support, and opportunities for personal development.
Our Needs:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and experienced nanny who can become part of our family dynamic and assist in creating a supportive and structured environment for our children. Our ideal nanny would be someone who values positive reinforcement, consistency, and patience, especially in working with children with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Primary Care: Support for our youngest, Haylen, including playtime, educational activities, and nurturing care.
• Special Needs Experience: Experience with autism and sensory needs preferred, as two of our boys require extra care, structure, and patience.
• Light Housekeeping: Helping with tidying up children’s spaces, laundry, and occasional meal prep.
• Transportation: Occasionally driving the children to activities, therapy appointments, or school-related events.
• Pet Care: Comfortable with two Bernedoodles, Samson and Delilah, including letting them out or feeding when needed.
Qualities We’re Looking For:
• Experienced: Background in childcare, especially with special needs, preferred.
• Faith-Focused: Someone who aligns with our Christian values and understands the importance of positive, faith-based guidance.
• Patient & Empathetic: Ability to remain calm and positive, especially when managing sensory challenges.
• Reliable & Trustworthy: Punctual, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks with confidence.

A little bit about us

Looking for help with food prep (while our 6-year-old son Kai is at school) and structured activities/play with Kai after school.

We are flexible on the exact schedule, but are thinking between 4 and 6 hours per day, 3 to 5 days per week.

Structured activities our son enjoys typically include workbooks, drawing, building (Legos, etc.), playing with our family cat, and playing at the playground or park. We try to avoid 'screen time.' Our son gets out of school at 3:30pm M-Th and 12:30pm Friday, and we are within walking distance (~10m) from his school. Picking up at school, playing at the school playground, and/or walking back home (if the weather is nice) would be great potential activities as well.

Additional areas of assistance that would be great, but are not required include the following:

-Helping with (or helping guide Kai to help with) some pet/cat care (food, litter box, brushing, etc.).
-Additional household cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, guiding Kai to clean up his areas, etc.)
