I have two little girls, a 3.5 year old and a two year old. They are just the sweetest. The two year old does like to be mischievous and take risks, so you have to be on top of that. The older one loves to play pretend and arts and crafts.
Our house is fully equipped to have the ultimate fun: a climbing wall, big backyard, mud pit, art and crafts, and indoor toys.
We also have a dog, you might have to let the dog out to go to the bathroom in the back yard. We also try and keep their toys picked up as much as possible. It’s pretty organized which makes it simple to pick up.

A little bit about us
We are seeking someone with a flexible, adaptable, kind demeanor who is skilled at relationship building, relating to children, and household tasks.
Our ideal candidate has experience with children who are neurodiverse, utilizes communication that is emotionally focused, and is a capable home cook.
Our ideal candidate would be available for potential grocery shopping, meal prep, and / or actual preparation of a meal / cooking. (We are looking for basics here: chicken and rice w/ kale. Mashed potatoes with hamburgers & cut up fresh veggies). Meals that are pretty simple, but "whole." We avoid gluten and corn, and most cow dairy (youngest gets eczema - NOT Celiac).
Meal prep / shopping could potentially happen prior to pickup on any work day. For example, 2:45 pm - 3:00 pm is the pickup window for my seven-year old. So perhaps you could grocery shop from 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm, prior to the afterschool pickup. (This aspect is flexible - I'm open to your ideas).
Pickups:
Afterschool pickups happen first in Fairview between 2:45 pm 3:00 pm, and then again in West Asheville between 4:00 pm and 4:15 pm.
We have a dog and a cat in our home. We are non-smokers and will give preference to other non-smokers. We also avoid heavy / synthetic fragrances. We do not have a TV and are not very "device" oriented.
I am a single parent, and am seeking support that feels easeful and responsive. Your self-motivation and emotional attunement are important. Your ability to "pick up" where I've left off is critical (i.e. help if you see something that you can help with: Full trash can? Take out the trash ... kind of a thing.) I also understand that getting to know a family takes time, and am not expecting you to know everything about us right out of the gate ... But the attitude of helpfulness is really important.
Our ideal candidate is adaptable, creative, and focused on regulated nervous systems (Yours and those of my children).
Pay range is between $20 - $30 / hour
