A little bit about us

Expecting baby boy in January 2023. Currently scoping out different resources and sites to eventually find a nanny share next year for when baby is 6 mos or 8 mos old. Summer start date will depend on whether I am able to get additional leave or not. Currently, we are both remote and WFH. Health conscious and looking for care and share with folks who are vaccinated. We have two German Wirehaired Pointers that won’t need care but will be around.

A little bit about us

My son is 10 years old.

He is home schooled and spends time between home and his grandma's house. We are looking for something who can help 3 or 4 afternoons/evenings a week, approximately 20 hours a week.

Xander is autistic. He is high functioning. He struggles with communicating his needs and emotional regulation. When he's having a hard day, he will not engage with a caretaker - and that's okay.

On the days he needs to be alone, I would expect someone who would help with light house keeping and meal prep. Things like laundry, tidying the kitchen, and keeping Xander's room organized.

We are looking for in-home help with both household tasks and childcare 3-4 afternoons a week. The start date is flexible. There’s also some flexibility in which days and in the hours. Hours ~2 or 3 to 6 or 6:30. Household tasks include things like doing dishes, basic daily kitchen cleaning, preparing meals, getting groceries (via instacart), tidying, taking out the garbage, light cleaning. Childcare is for a 6 and 10 year old and includes supervision of homework, chores, and baths. Both parents will be home, one working, the other has a (not contagious) chronic illness and is often bed bound. We have a small dog. We are a COVID cautious family due to one family member being high risk so we require full vaccination, letting us know if you have any COVID-like symptoms, and taking COVID tests as needed.
