A little bit about us

We are currently looking for a nanny with a focus on education and milestone development that is looking to grow with our family. We have a 20 month old son, and are expecting another boy this September. We are looking for someone predominantly part-time during the weekdays, and if available, the occasional weekends. We are especially interested in someone who is interested in helping with achieving more immediate milestones and growing developments like vocabulary, reading, and potty training.

Our son is very active and agile so he loves physical activity, which has also made nailing down more studious tasks more challenging; but he is overall a very happy and easy child. He certainly is a kid that knows what he wants and will make it clear to you, nonverbally (I.e. pull your hand towards the door to open it, or close the door behind you to tell you not to leave, or hand you a toy to play with him.) He is eager to say words so someone who can focus on helping advocate there is helpful.

This position will be held inside our home, which has its own play area downstairs and upstairs in addition it a playground in the backyard.

I am pregnant and have some health concerns with this pregnancy so I’m unable to be as active as our son would like so we are looking for someone to be really engaging one-on-one— not someone who will just put the tv on and watch him. I will be home during these times most of the time, but not with the expectation that I will also be engaged in the activities. I will be resting, doing meal preps, light house projects to prepare for the new baby, etc.

This position is not just a position for the next couple of months, but one that we hope to have someone fill for a long period of time. While we would love to bring someone on full-time, we cannot afford to supplement an entire income for a full-time position so we are looking for part-time, but someone long term to be there to see our children grow and develop is ideal.

A little bit about us

I am looking for an occasional sitter for my 3 year old daughter. I work full time and have full time in home childcare via family, but would love to find someone to give us a break occasionally. Due to this, we are very flexible for scheduling. Someone will likely be home while you are babysitting but ideally you would be responsible for preparing meals and snacks for the child, playtime, assistance with potty time, etc. The ideal candidate has their own car and feels comfortable around cats. Reliability and a positive attitude are essential for this role.
