A little bit about me

I have a diverse and extensive background in childcare, which has equipped me with the skills and qualities necessary to be an excellent caregiver. Over the past decade, I have babysat children of all ages, from newborns to young adults. For the past 5 years, I have also mentored kids, helping them grow and develop in various aspects of their lives.
My experience as an au pair in Italy, where I taught English to a 6-year-old and a 9-year-old, enriched my understanding of early childhood education and cultural exchange. Also, my role as a camp counselor allowed me to connect with and learn more about kids aged 10-18.
I am patient, empathetic, and adaptable. I have a natural ability to connect with children and understand their needs. My playful energy and enthusiasm make me a fun and engaging caregiver. I am also responsible and reliable, ensuring that the children in my care are safe and well-cared for at all times.

"Maja is a truly loving and caring caretaker. She loves to sing to them, goes outside on walks to the playground everyday, and prepares both breakfast and lunch. She is always so gentle with our son and adjusts to his specific sleep needs as well as his eating habits and nutrition needs. She genuinely really enjoys hanging out with our son with fun and engaging activities with variety week to week. We love getting her photos through out the day. She's also always been flexible with her hours and days. We very much enjoyed getting to know her and having her part of our lives, and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any parent in need of a nanny."

"You should only hire Sandra if you are prepared to have complete strangers approach you on the street or in the parks to tell you how amazing your nanny is with your child. On more than a dozen occasions that’s exactly what happened to us. Sandra is super engaged with the kids, considers their development in everything she does, sets wonderful boundaries and builds an amazing relationship with all the kids in her care. She did cooking, our daughter’s laundry, And always kept the house tidy. We still use Sandra to this day for both occasional nights and sometimes overnights even though our daughter is 11yo. I cannot more highly recommend Sandra to care for your precious little one. You will not regret this decision ever. We always felt as though we had the most special relationship with Sandra, but ultimately realize it’s the type of relationship she has with all of her families."

A little bit about me

Loving, Bilingual Nanny Looking for a Nanny Share family!

Hi neighbors! My name is Kimberly, and I’m looking for a new family to join a nanny share.
I’ve spent the last 10 years caring for little ones (0-5 years old) and truly love helping them grow, learn, and hit those big milestones.

A little more about me: I like organizing educational play, outdoor adventures, and daily routines that keep kids happy and engaged. Spanish is my first language and I love incorporating it into our daily activities!
I come with great references, a clean driving record, and a CPR/First Aid certification.

I’ll be accompanied by my 17-month-old daughter. It’s a wonderful way for our children to learn social skills together in a safe, structured, and loving environment.
If you’re looking for a reliable, energetic nanny who values open communication and consistent routines, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to DM me for more details or references!

"Kim has been like family to us, and any family would be incredibly lucky to have her. Some highlights: Amazing with kids – Our daughter smiles so big when Kim arrives, and we always hear laughter when they’re together. Committed and hardworking – Kim is a true powerhouse with endless energy. She is fully present and attentive while caring for the kids, and she takes them out of the house multiple times a day—often pushing a double stroller up the steep hill to Christopher Park! She is rarely on her phone and takes genuine pride in her work. Reliable – Kim is always on time and communicates well in advance about any time off. Good communicator – She texts promptly, responds quickly, and keeps us informed throughout the day. Active and social – Kim is very hands-on and has built a strong community with other nannies, giving the children frequent opportunities to socialize."

How to Find a Babysitter in San Francisco, CA

Nanny Lane is a child care website meant to help you find a babysitter in your area. Our child care services include background checks, a dedicated hiring agent, and payroll.

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in San Francisco, CA

Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.

From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in San Francisco can impact how much you pay your babysitter.

San Francisco Babysitter Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a babysitter?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in California?
  • Do you have a California driver’s license? Do you own a car?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!

And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
