Bailey D.
Sugar Hill$8.57/hr  |  < 1 yr experience
Hi there! My name is Bailey. I'm 26 years old & I'm a certified Pediatric Medical Assistant. 6 months ago I left my job as a Medical Assistant in a wonderful Pediatrician's office where I worked for 6 years. I was offered a job as the lead 'teacher' in the infant room at a very popular daycare center. I had my 3 year old son attending the daycare during the hours that I was there, & just a few days ago I found out that my son wasn't being treated well by his 'teacher' when I wasn't around. I have since left that job as well & am looking for a nanny/sitter position with a family that will allow me to bring my wonderful, sweet 3 year old along. He's very interested in babies/other children. He's very well behaved & cleans up after himself. I guarantee that he would not cause any problems in your home & that your children would be cared for as if they were my own. I'm CPR & first aid certified (just re-took the course a week ago) & have an extensive background working with children, including large groups of toddlers. I hope you'll consider me for your available position!

My exprience as nanny comes way back. I've been doing this job for the past ten years.I've been babysitter just helping out some family and I've live with family as a nanny and I aslo worked and caycare school. But the most important and fun exprience that I had is for the past two years I was an Au pair here in the US. For the first year I live with the Berstein family in New jersey. They had three kids two girls and one boy. Morgan 6yrs, Zachary 3yrs and their little angel Alexis who was born just a month after I have irrived. My duty in the house was wake the kids up, get them ready for school, prepare their braekfast, drive them to school, play with them, help them with their homework, bath them etc. In my second year I worked for Mrs Latangie White in Louisiana, she also had three kids, but they were all boys.Ethan 11yrs, Carlson 6yrs and Cayden 2yrs. My job here was the same as my first one, but the only different was Carlson was Autistic, so he really needed special care and attention. So it was a bit of challenge for me and at the same time a good experience as well. But above all I raelly enjoyed my time with both of this family and I gain more exprience from this program. I learn more about other people culture too. I'm really a hard working person, very friendly, patient and easy to work with and responsible.

Alyson L.

Alyson is very reliable, punctual and very trustworthy. She genuinely cares about children and loves to read and play games. If we lived closer she would still be with us on a regular basis - not enough hours and conflicting schedules now that my kids have started school. - Amy

Alyson L.

Alyson is fantastic with babies, toddlers, children and their parents. As a new mom, she supported my ideas and gave her thoughts when asked. As my children grew, I’ve recommended her numerous times to friends and they in turn have done the same. - Audrey Kirsch

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Sugar Hill, GA

Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.

From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Sugar Hill can impact how much you pay your babysitter.

Sugar Hill Babysitter Interviews

Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:

  • Do you have experience being a babysitter?
  • What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
  • Do you have any references?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in Georgia?
  • Do you have a Georgia driver’s license? Do you own a car?
  • How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?

During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!

And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
