A little bit about me
Over the past two years, I have worked at a professional childcare facility, honing my skills in providing attentive and engaging care to children of all ages. In this role, I have successfully managed groups of children, designed age-appropriate activities, and ensured their safety and well-being in a structured environment.
Additionally, I have over six years of hands-on babysitting experience, working with children ranging from newborns to 10+ years old. I have developed strong skills in creating nurturing routines, managing daily tasks such as meal preparation, homework assistance, and bedtime, and adapting to the unique needs of each child.
My diverse experience has equipped me with exceptional communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities, making me a dependable and compassionate caregiver for children across a wide age range.

A little bit about me
I’ve always had a deep love for babysitting and caring for kids. I spent five years babysitting around my neighborhood in Ann Arbor, and it’s something I’ve truly enjoyed. There’s something special about getting to know each child, understanding their unique personality, and providing them with a fun, safe environment while their parents can relax, knowing everything is in good hands. I’m excited for the future—whether as a mom or the cool aunt. I believe children are a gift to this earth, and it’s such a joy to be a part of their lives, even if just for a short time.

A little bit about me
I try to make it not feel like a job but to make it a play date for the kids.
I love to clean and cook so doing that would not be an issue, just please make me aware of any allergies.
I prefer smaller children ( up to 6 years old) but any age is fine by me.

A little bit about me
I’m 19 years old and I know that am seem young but I do have years of experience from being the “family babysitter”. Growing up I watched my younger cousins and my little sister a lot. As I got older though, I decided I really do enjoy child care and taking care of children so I worked my eighth grade summer going into high school I worked as a camp counselor and for my community service hours my freshman year I did them at my local daycare. Then for two summers I worked with a single mom and helped her twins daughter (4) I took them out a lot to the park, movie at the library, the sprinklers/water park, pool, and sometimes we just had fun in the house painting coloring etc. Then for the pass two years I’ve been doing occasional babysitting jobs and worked 6 months as an infant daycare assistant until I moved.

Understand Babysitter Responsibilities in Greenville, NC
Before beginning the search for a babysitter, it’s important to understand what you’re looking for and if a babysitter is the right choice for your child care needs. There are lots of benefits to hiring a babysitter such as getting the flexibility of having some more time for yourself or with your partner. When hiring a babysitter, first, you should explore the differences between a nanny and a babysitter. If you’re looking for occasional child care, babysitters are the right choice for you, but if you’re looking for more frequent care, a nanny may be better for your needs.
From there, you can think about what you expect your babysitter to handle so that you can create a profile for nannies to reach out to you. The boundaries for babysitters’ duties can vary from family to family. However, in general, a babysitter is responsible for making sure your kids’ needs are met, including things like ensuring they have opportunities to play and be active. When tasks go beyond child care, for example to housekeeping, laundry, or meal preparation, it’s good practice to communicate these expectations with your babysitter before hiring them. Along with the different duties that you ask for, experience and location in Greenville can impact how much you pay your babysitter.
Greenville Babysitter Interviews
Once you start connecting with prospective babysitters, the next step is to conduct an interview. To make things a bit easier, here’s a list of some babysitter interview questions to consider asking:
- Do you have experience being a babysitter?
- What sort of household tasks are you open and comfortable doing?
- Do you have any references?
- Are you trained in First Aid or CPR in North Carolina?
- Do you have a North Carolina driver’s license? Do you own a car?
- How do you handle tantrums? Can you share an experience disciplining children?
During the hiring process, it’s essential to ask for references and by asking their references questions you gain a better understanding of they will fit in your family. As you get closer to hiring a nanny, be sure to run a background check to ensure your kids are in good hands. When evaluating a babysitter that you’re considering hiring, make sure you’re setting the foundation for a good relationship with your babysitter. You can do this by being clear about your expectations around babysitter responsibilities and compensation, and of course, by being friendly and welcoming!
And of course, as you learn how to hire a babysitter, Nanny Lane's nanny services are here to help you along the way.
