A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Lucia, and I have extensive experience working with children. I truly enjoy being a nanny and have had the opportunity to care for children of all ages. A few years ago, I worked as an au pair in Spain, where I lived with a family and helped teach English to three young children. More recently, I’ve worked with infants and toddlers, and I also have recommendation letters available upon request.

I’m bilingual in English and Spanish and have been babysitting for as long as I can remember, looking after my younger brother, cousins, family friends, and other families. I’m passionate about creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for kids.

I’m currently looking for a warm, welcoming family to work with. If you’d like to learn more or have any questions, feel free to send me a message—I’d love to chat!

A little bit about me

Hello, my name is Nadia Serkizyuk. I am 20 years old with 5 years plus babysitting, 2 years of working at a daycare, a year and a half being a nanny. I am CPR and First Aid trained, also with a valid drivers license and car. I am highly dependable, adaptable, organized, respectful, and consistent. I am able to respond quickly to difficult situations (for example: if a child was to get hurt or act out). You will find I am proficient in infant behavior and nutritional needs. I have a strong multitasking ability for handling several children at one time. The ages I have cared for are from newborns to school ages (around 10 years old). At the daycare I was mainly taking care of and watching the ages between 6 weeks old and 3 years old. I have taken care of newborns (days old), toddlers, and preschoolers for full days. As a nanny, I have been taking care of a one year old toddler. My strengths are communication and consistency. My weakness' are getting attached. I would love to build up my strengths and weakness'. I absolutely love children, love caring for them and find them fascinating, and I am seeking further nanny work to continue doing what I love and broadening my experience. A few responsibilities I have had taking care of children are; carrying out daily activities to fulfill the child's physical and emotional needs, preparing meals and serving them to the child, changing diapers, taking the child on walks, going to museums, parks, libraries, reading, teaching abc's and numbers, communicating with parents: telling them how the child's day was, how they did, what they learned, and if anything new happened. I help out with laundry, dishes, and any other requests you may have. The most important thing to remember about caring for a child is to keep them safe and making them feel safe at all times. Children should always feel comfortable.
Interests or Fun Facts: I am fluent in Russian and Ukrainian, love art and crafts, reading , going on adventures

How to Hire a Bilingual Nanny in Webster, NY

Nanny Lane helps you find a bilingual nanny in Webster, NY who can care for your children in more than one language.

We offer nanny services including background checks, Agency, and nanny payroll. Start by posting a profile with a job description, and soon you can start connecting with nannies who fit your family.

What Is a Bilingual Nanny?

A bilingual nanny speaks English and at least one other language, such as Spanish, French, Mandarin, or Portuguese, and uses both with the children. Some families want a native speaker to introduce a second language from an early age, and others need a nanny who can communicate with a relative or care for a child who speaks another language at home.

Common Responsibilities of Bilingual Nannies in Webster, NY

A bilingual nanny handles the usual childcare tasks, such as meals, play, outings, and routines, while speaking the second language during everyday activities. Many also read stories, sing songs, and play games in that language, so children pick it up naturally rather than from flashcards.

What to Consider Before You Hire

Decide how much of the day you want in the second language and how fluent the nanny needs to be. Ask about their background in the language and any experience helping children learn it. Fluency varies, so it helps to have part of the interview in the language. If you need a specific language, mention it in your job description so nannies can find you.

Bilingual Nanny Interview Questions

Once you find a promising candidate, invite them for an interview to see if they would be a great fit for your family. Here are some questions you can ask:

  • Which languages do you speak, and how did you learn them?
  • How would you use the second language with my children during the day?
  • Have you helped children learn or keep up a second language before?
  • Are you comfortable speaking only in that language for part of the day?
  • Are you trained in First Aid or CPR?

At this stage, request their references and ask their references some questions. After preparing the job offer or contract, we recommend that you run a background check before the start date.
