A little bit about me
My name is Amanda Vela, and I love working with little ones! I am a San Diego elementary teacher (UTK and Kindergarten), and have worked in daycares and with newborn-toddlers for a combined three years.
I have worked with children from UTK age to 5th graders. When working with children at home, I work to provide a screen free environment with a focus on hands-on learning and play (drawing, painting, reading, dancing, singing, building, organizing, etc.).
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I look forward to meeting your wonderful family!
Thank you for reviewing my message,
Amanda V.

A little bit about me
I have 11+ years experience caring for children for children from newborn-11 years old. Not only am I mom myself but have also been caring for other families as well. I have experience caring for children with complex needs as well as caring for children with autism. I would consider myself as warm hearted, loving, trustworthy, and dedicated.

A little bit about me
I am a credentialed elementary school teacher in between positions as I just recently moved back to San Diego. I have worked in Kindergarten, 3rd and 4th grade, as well as with toddlers.
Other skills:
- Reading/math tutor (I have been trained in phonics-based approaches to reading and am currently enrolled in an Orton-Gillingham program.)
- Swim teacher (D1 collegiate athlete, and have taught swim lessons to ages 2 - 18.)
- Dog-lover, and would be happy to care for your furry friend while nannying!
- Very active (profile picture is of my recent 70.3!)
I am looking for part-time weekday work, preferably ending the day before 5pm (though willing to be flexible.) I can come as early as needed to help with school drop-off and any other morning needs you may have!
