A little bit about me…

My most recent childcare experience aside from years of babysitting was a position with two children ages 8-12. As with sought position I was able to bring my own child when needed in return for charging very reasonable rates. During the summer we went swimming, to movies, parks and lots of various outdoor fun activities.

A little bit about me…

I started babysitting when I was twelve for my neighbors; I loved it and never stopped. When I got to high school, I got many more jobs and babysat for up to twelve families. There was a specific family of four that I babysat for four years regularly. The baby girl was two months when I first started. There was also a three year old boy, eight year old girl and nine year old boy. I still talk with the family on a regular basis. I also taught dance all throughout high school. Not only did I have twenty children to look out for and teach, but I also had children with disabilities. I had two children with down-syndrome and one with mental retardation. I work well with anyone and can really understand the background considering my uncle has mental retardation and I have grown up around it. Spending time with children has opened my eyes to an amazing world and if I could do that everyday of my life, it will be a great honor. I made the decision to go to college in Chicago for dance and unfortunately had to leave the families. I luckily found a family that I have been part time nannying for out there with just one girl infant. Children are my passion. I will do anything for them and I am completely devoted.

A little bit about me…

I have a lot of experience working with kids; last summer I worked as an intern at , working with kindergartners, 5th graders, and 8th graders in urban school gardens. I was responsible for teaching gardening workshops and classes, supervising the kids in the garden and on field trips, and helping them with their assignments. I also babysat every week for my neighbors while I was in high school. When I started, their twin girls were 6 years old and their younger brother was 3 years old. When I left for college, they were 10 and 7. During college I babysat for two families on an on call basis, and took classes in Children's Literature.
