My name is Lindsey and I am 27 years old. I have been married for over three years and we are going strong. Here is a little more about my child care experience. I have worked in a preschool for just over two years when I did lived in TN. I was an aide but did a lot of subbing in the 3 and 4-year-old class. During the afternoons I had my own class from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at this time I mainly had again the 3-4 group but sometimes was put in the 2's or 3-year-olds. During the summer I would have class with the teachers' kids ages 5-13. When watching a child I do like to educate them, teaching them their ABC's and 123's with educational songs and flash cards, and when they are older states and capitals. I am not afraid of helping with potty training. Ah, yes I almost forgot that during that time that I did do a lot of the clean up. I can and will do basic chores around a house and cook if you would like me too. I also have had experience with infants while I lived with my aunt she did fosters infants between the transitions of being with the biological parents to the adoptive parents. This would include feedings at all hours, early morning-late nights I have experience with infants that have had severe colic, fetal alcohol syndrome, failure to thrive, and special needs babies. I also have had experience with premature babies. I am a very patient person when it comes to all different things. During my high school years I was in a group that is basically a Junior EMT. I did have my CPR and First Aid in infants/children/adults. I am currently looking into getting my CNA. I was an certified first responder and certified to use the AED defibrillator. Discipline would be done in steps as in first being asked to stop what they are doing (throwing toys, back talking, etc.). If they are a younger child, 2-6, I would take the toy away from them and if the behavior persists I would then use the time out, but I base this on age. If they are 2 years old they get a 2 minute time out, if they are 6 years old they get a 6 minute time out. When they reach an older age they would be asked to please go to their room. I will let the parents know what happened during the day as a recap good or bad. I do have referral letters that I will send you if you are interested
