A little bit about me…

I am Connelly and I am a hands on babysitter who loves anything from crafts to making dinner fun! I have been babysitting for about 4 years for family friends and eventually other families in my town. I graduated highschool this past May and and trying to save up for my upcoming freshman year of college. I have a light schedule so I am free before noon. I can help with light housekeeping and homework. I am CPR certified and have completed CNA classes as well! I am very good at multi-tasking and would be perfectly fine watching more than one child at a time!

A little bit about me…

I have had chances to take care of children from a young age. Many times I found myself in charge of the children of family and close friends. Recently, I was taking care of four kids: Three girls; ages 1, 4, and 9; and a boy, age 11. I enjoyed this experience not only because the children appreciated the activities I had planned for them to do, but they also readily accepted the practical lessons that I introduced to them. I cannot honestly say that all of my childcare experiences have been easy, however my own past trials and personal developments have taught me that patience and a thankful attitude can achieve wonders when I am under pressure. During difficult times, I calmed the children down through a process that included gentle reproof, discussion, singing, changing the focus of their activities, and the use of helpful tools like childrens' books, television, positive games, inspirational movies, etc. As a personal principle, I never use aggressive or forceful behavior to get children to be peaceful and respectful. In addition, I believe that actions of patience, peace, kindness, and respect are the best way to teach someone both young or old.
