I have been caring for children for as long as I can remember, but in more concrete terms, around 7 years. I have experience caring for children of all ages, from infants to pre-teens. I have experience with multiples and with children who have a variety of special needs, from asthma to Autism. I love playing games, doing arts and crafts, enjoying nature and many other activities.

I have worked with several families over the past few years, most of the jobs ending because the family moved or because I needed to complete my education. I have experience taking care of infants, not only as a nanny but I also used to work in the nursery of a hospital. I have extensive experience with children ages 4-9, but prefer to work with younger children. I love being a part of the family's life, as I still maintain close relationships with past families. The first family I worked for had a newborn boy. I worked with them for about a year, starting from the time that the boy was almost a month old. I would feed him, change diapers, bathe him, wash clothes, prepare bottles and then soft foods (such as pureed carrots or bananas), and try to interact with him as much as possible. Since the family and I are both bilingual, I would speak to him in spanish so he would learn to be bilingual as well; which he now is at age 8. After they moved I worked with a family with two children, ages 5 and 7. For two years I stayed working for them, picking them up from school, taking them to (as well as supervising) play dates, helping with homework, cooking, taking them to-and-from activities, and keeping them entertained, such as taking them to the pool in the summer or going sledding in the winter. Then I worked for a family of three children ages 10, 12 and 14. I picked them up from school, took them to activities that they had, cleaned up after them, cooked, did laundry and ensured their overall well-being. After that temporary job ended, I was with a family of two girls ages 9 months and 3 years. I stayed with them for 2 years until I decided to go back to school.

During my time in college, my daughter was born, and I completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts while raising her. Being a single parent to an infant, and now toddler, has given me immeasurable lessons in patience, time management, thinking on my toes, and the amazing joys of being around children and having the chance to be a part of their learning and growth. It also urged me to take elective childhood education classes, and childhood psychology. I was certified at age 11 through the Red Cross, both in CPR and babysitting, and babysat for many children throughout my teenage years. The children I cared for were between the ages of one and fourteen, and I have experience with only children and families with up to four children. I worked in the toddler care at my family's church while growing up, and often babysit for a family friend's children who are now one and three. During my summers in high school I assisted at a summer program for children in the performing arts, assisting in directing and organizing groups of kids. I also had the privilege to teach workshops in Shakespeare to children in fourth grade, during my higher education, as well as speech and vocal lessons to high school and college students.

Kinga S.

Kinga’s reliable, dependable, proactive, diligent, Self-motivated , a great leader, and a great follower. knows when to play and when to be serious; when to be irreverent and when to conform; and when to challenge and when to back off. She finds ways to make the chores of the house looking clean not only because they are expected to, but because she just can't help it. - Kevin

Nicole C.

Nikki is great with our son. He is 3 (almost 4) and Nikki is basically his best friend. He talks about her all the time. Nikki and him play games, build stuff, play outside and eat snack. She's reliable, caring, and courteous and she understands our restrictions / limitations during covid and respects our parenting style. Highly reccomend. - Sean
