The first family I worked for were very wonderful people. When I first joined them their daughter was already 3 years old, so it took a little over 2 weeks for her to get adjusted to her new nanny, me, but as the days went on it became easier and easier for me. We became friends and I enjoyed the two years I spent with them. Why I had to leave it's because they had a second child and wanted a live-in nanny, I couldn't live-in.
The second family had a 3 month old baby and I spent three years until they had a second baby, a boy. Then soon after they bought a house in Connecticut. I couldn't continue working for them. But I enjoyed everyday working with them.
It gives me great joy helping parents raise their children and to see that they are happy and comfortable with me. I grew to love them and with them likewise. When a family can trust you and feel comfortable with you, that makes your job much eaiser.
