A little bit about me

Howdy! My name is Jennifer Nguyen. My passion in life is to help people. When my little sister was born, I was only 7 years old. My dad pushes the door open, head facing down with his eyes bloodshot red. He looks at me and says, "your sister is born. She has heart problems and can't go home for another week or so." At that moment, I felt a sting in my heart. The Neonatal Nurses rolled my sister to the NICU. I saw the nurse feed, clean, monitor, and most importantly, show love to my baby sister. She was diligent and had her mind set to save my sister. With her help, the hole in my sister's heart had decreased significantly and my sister went home 4 days later. Without the Neonatal Nurse, my sister could have died. I want to be able to help other people; the same way that this nurse helped my sister.

A little bit about me

I love kids for I am a kid at heart! My ultimate goal is to be a neonatal nurse, so caring for any aged children would be an amazing experience and supplemental to my future occupation. I am CPR and first aid certified, as well as a certified patient care technician. I've never had an official childcare job, but I do have 2 little brothers who I've helped raise since they were newborns, I often helped at vacation Bible school during the summer at my home church in Dallas, and I used to teach/assist in teaching dance classes for elementary students. I would really love to help families out in any way I can, whether that be in helping with homework, doing crafts, teaching some basic music skills (piano, ukulele, singing), transportation, housekeeping, or just being a positive role model and friend for your kids. I hope you consider me, I really appreciate your time!

Hi! I'm a 19 year old college student originally from Houston, and I plan on staying in College Station over the summer! I was the president of Best Buddies during my high school years, and I also serve as a volunteer at camp Joni and Friends. I am fluent in Spanish and I was a competitive swimmer for 13 years, so I can also teach Spanish & swim lessons! My availability is pretty open right now, and if you have any more questions feel free to ask! :)
