Monique P. - Seeking Work in College Station

Hourly rate22.85 / hour

My name is Monique (I go by my middle name), originally from Brazil and have recently moved from Hawaii to College Station. Before moving to Hawaii in 2013, I lived in Boston for 6. 5 years and in Chicago for 7 months. I have been working as a childcare provider for the past 9 years, working with children of all ages (0-17) and love what I do. On one of my recent jobs I worked for the same family (current ages 6 and 11) for 5 years until both kids were in school. While living in Hawaii, I worked for 2 families, one of them had 2 kids (age 4mo and 4yo) and the other had a 3 mo baby. I'm energetic, patient, caring, well-organized, and am always on time. I love organizing activities to keep the little ones busy and happy, such as: art & crafts, painting, reading books, play-dates, trips to the beach, going to museums, zoos, frequent trips to the library for story-time, puppet show, bike rides, playing games at the park, singing songs, swimming and anything else so we can have fun! If you have a new family member, I also have experience with sleep training and childcare development, so I would be more than happy to assist you with any questions you might have to help with your babies. :) I am currently looking for a FT position, although I am also open to discuss PT. Looking to be working with a family in a long-term capacity where I can be part of the family. Looking forward to hearing from you, Monique P. S.: I am ALLERGIC to CATS.

I have babysat for about 10 years now. I completed a babysitting course when I was younger and I've always enjoyed spending time with children and entertaining them. I've watched multiple kids at one time and I am very confident with my abilities to provide a great amount of attention to each child. I always seem to become close to the kids that I get to watch and I always enjoy watching them mature and grow up overtime. For about three years, I was a caregiver for a young girl with cerebral palsy. I can't tell you how much of an impact that experience had on my life. I really enjoyed watching her progress and grow up over those three years. I moved way from the Dallas/Ft.Worth area because of college and sadly, had to stop spending so much time with her. I look forward to meeting you and your family :)!

Howdy! I am a college student at Texas A&M, and am in my junior year as a bilingual education major. Children are my passion. I have always been able to connect with them on a different level and it's been amazing. Since a young age, I have been entrusted to care for my younger cousins of ages varying from 2 and up. I have also babysat a young boy since he was 4 months old and is now 6 years old. My relationship with this young boy has not been one of simply babysitter, but instead that of a sibling. I hope to be able to accomplish that with other children as well. Please feel free to contact me with any questions as I am more than happy to answer them.

My experience includes being a nanny for three cute children, babysitting for many families and working for a day care. I am also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), certified in First Aid/CPR for both adults and infants and have taken Child Care and Child Development courses. Recently, I graduated from Cosmetology school where I had additional opportunities to interact with children. Based on my experience and education, I believe I am very qualified to be a nanny.
