Judy uses a wheelchair and needs a little help getting out of bed, transferring (due to limited mobility), getting to the bathroom, and changing into clean clothes in the morning (she won’t do it otherwise). She also has memory issues, so she may need gentle reminders for tasks. You’d prepare breakfast, lunch, and snacks, and encourage her to drink water throughout the day, as she often forgets. Hospice will handle her showers.
Her ideal day is relaxed: up around 9 AM for breakfast and coffee, then she enjoys coloring, watching TV, chatting, and maybe a nap. After lunch, it’s more TV and taking it easy. A warm, patient, cheerful person who enjoys coloring, TV, or outdoor chats would be a great fit! Basic experience with wheelchair transfers is a plus. A background check will be required. Please let us know if you’re interested and your monthly rate for this long-term need.
