A little bit about me

I am a mother of a 3 year old. Became his mother at a young age (17) and love taking care of kids. I also use to babysit my siblings all the time from 3 months up till they were 7 years old. I use to babysit from home when I was pregnant with my son so I have a lot of experience with babies/kids. My cpr certificate expired about two years ago and never bothered to renew it because never had the time to since I was working full time in a warehouse and taking care of my son. But I would like to take care of other kids besides mine and enjoy what I like doing best as a job.

A little bit about me

I am a mama with an empty nest. For as long as I can remember I've been mothering children; whether it's been siblings, cousins, or for family friends. I was blessed with one biological child, who is my youngest, as well as three other children I took in during their adolescence who needed a mommy. I have been nannying and caring for children for well over 23 years. I have volunteered for various charities, church camps, and I've worked in daycare centers. Also in between families I have worked in various fields that made sure that I was able to be a hands-on mom as much as possible. I have worked with children with various disabilities both physical and emotional or mental. I've cared for preemies, multiples, newborns all the way through high school. While my children were in high school I worked at their high school, volunteered on the athletic booster club, and coached cheerleading. I also have extensive medical knowledge as I completed all of the pre-nursing requisites and someday I hope to return when I feel the time is right.
Over the last 5 years I've cared for children in three families; from a family of one child to a family of five children. I have extensive knowledge of breastmilk care and feeding as well as making homemade baby food. With a recent family, in addition to being their nanny, my role encompassed being a personal assistant and family manager. I have gone on vacations with the family, overnights, along with handling some business needs and maintaining the home. Many of the families I have cared for for any amount of time; even as far back as in the 1990's, I still remain in contact with on a regular basis.
I'm hoping to find another wonderful family to create a new bond with and begin making memories as I assist with the care, growth, and development of their children.
I pride myself on establishing an “other mother” type bond with the children and a team /co-parenting relationship with parents. I give my heart and soul in the care I prov...
